Looking for a specific fic I remember reading. In it, Arthur and Merlin live together in a modern AU setting. One day, Arthur wakes up and is temporarily deaf. I'm looking for hurt! Arthur fics, in which Arthur has mental disability (amnesia, childish behaviors, or he's just completely mad, scared, broken).
It would be best if Arthur becomes like this after a series of torture, and Merlin is there to save him and comfort/protect him.

The first one was fairly long, maybe not too too long as it's been a very long time since I've read this story, I just remember skimming great descriptive details at the time because I was very impatient and wanted to get to the main plot points. Merlin does something stupidly powerful with his magic saving all of Camelot but looses himself in his mind. He can't eat on his own, dress himself, clean himself or care for himself and is completely helpless. Arthur acts as his full time care taker and brings about the golden age in respect/honor of Merlin and his sacrifice ( Read more... )
